Privacy Notice

At e-shop designer, we take your privacy and the processing of your personal data seriously. In summary, we collect as little personal information as possible from you, or your Ecwid account, in order to provide the service you have signed up for (the app).

The app we provide is:

  • tabber app - an Ecwid app to provides tabbed product descriptions. service with a lifetime subscription.

Old apps and services that are no longer available were:

  • decorator app - an Ecwid app to help style your storefront.
  • esdcustom app - an Ecwid app to provide custom code for an Ecwid store. Was used to provide the tabber service lifetime license.
  • theme designer app.
  • tweak service.
  • themes service.

We only use your personal information in order to communicate with you directly in order to support your use of the app, and will not use your personal information for marketing. We have prepared this Privacy Notice where we describe our contact details, information regarding what personal data we process and what rights you have towards us and how you may defend them. What is personal data?

“Personal data” is any information relating to an identifiable or identified person (you as a user). An identifiable person is someone who can be identified, directly or indirectly, for example by reference to an identification number or to one or more factors specific to his or her physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.

The processing of special categories of data, defined as personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade-union membership, and data concerning health or sex life, is prohibited, subject to certain exceptions.

Personal data which we handle

Your personal data may only be processed by us when it is necessary for the installation of one of our apps, or when it is necessary for our compliance with a legal obligation. The processing of the personal data, the specific purposes for the processing, and for how long we store your personal data, is described below.

Ecwid Store ID. To enable our apps to be associated with your Ecwid store, we collect your Ecwid store ID when you register for an app. Your Ecwid store ID is kept securely with us for at least six months after you uninstall the app in order to retain your app settings for you in the event that you re-install the app again later. You can request us to competely delete all your data by contacting support@e-shopdesigner.com.

Email address. To enable us to communicate with you about technical issues, or service changes affecting your app, we collect your email address from the Ecwid API when you install the app. We share your email address with Amazon Web Services Simple Email Services, a third-party service we use for reliably delivering email. Your email address is kept securely with us until some time after you uninstall the app from your Ecwid account. You can edit your email address through your Ecwid account settings.

Payment details. When you opt to pay for a subscription to a e-shop designer paid service (app), we will process your payment details. The processing is performed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Your card details are not seen by us. Here is the Stripe Privacy Policy: stripe.com/gb/privacy.

Public data from your Ecwid store profile. Some information such as company name, online store URL is collected by us by accessing your public store data you have provided to Ecwid. This information is stored securely by us and may be used when we communicate with you about the app, or to provide information on invoices.

Right to be forgotten

You can delete your personal data by uninstalling the app from your Ecwid Control Panel, and then contacting us at support@e-shopdesigner.com.

Right of access

You have the right to receive confirmation from us as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed. You may also access that personal data and receive this information:

  1. The purposes of the processing
  2. The categories of personal data concerned
  3. The recipients or categories of recipients to whom personal data have been or will be disclosed
  4. The envisaged period for which the personal data will be stored or the criteria used to determine that period
  5. The existence of automated decision-making and profiling

Right to rectification

You have, at any time, the right to demand us to correct any inaccurate personal data within a month’s time. You can also rectify much of your information by logging into your Ecwid account.

Right to object

You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Data security and protection

We ensure the security of any personal information we hold by using secure data storage technologies and precise procedures in how we store, access and manage that information. Our methods meet the GDPR compliance requirement.

We have provided some further explanations about user privacy and the way we use this website and our apps to help promote a transparent and honest user privacy methodology.

Email messages

When you install an app, we collect your email address, either directly from you, or from your Ecwid account. We do not send newsletter or marketing emails. We only collect certain data about you, as detailed in the "Personal data which we handle" above. We only send email messages to you to provide you with important information that you need to know related to the apps you are using. For example payment receipts, reminders that your subscription will expire soon, issues found with the apps and how to fix them, or responses to your enquiries to our support desk.

Sub-processors

In line with GDPR, we are required to inform you of any other processors involved in the processing of your data. We have sought and have recorded assurances from other processors, where they are used; and they are as follows:

  • Ecwid privacy policy
    Ecwid e-commerce service holds your Ecwid account details, and may monitor your usage of our apps.
  • Amazon Web Services privacy policy
    Used for hosting websites and services in Ireland, cloud data storage in Ireland, content delivery network and email delivery.
  • Digital Ocean privacy policy
    Used for Hosting websites in London, and managing disaster backups.
  • Stripe privacy policy
    Used to provide card payment services.
  • PayPal privacy policy
    Used to provide payment services.
  • rsync.net HIPA compliance statement
    Used for storing encrypted disaster backups in Switzerland.
  • ServerPilot terms of service
    Used to help manage some servers that run our websites.
  • Freshdesk privacy policy
    Used to provide support services and help.
  • Trello privacy policy
    Used to help manage the business. Some personal data may occasinally be stored here related to on-going support tasks.
  • Slack privacy policy
    Used to recieve notifications from some services and other communications.
